DES MOINES, Iowa — Republican Presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis both came out swinging in Wednesday night’s Presidential debate in Des Moines, Iowa. Haley and DeSantis debating their records as governor. During the CNN debate , Haley challenged her opponents’ record of tax cuts and cost of living in Florida.
Haley said she would end normal trade relations with China until the country does more to restrict the flow of fentanyl into the U.S. DeSantis said he would put more U.S. military assets in the Indo-Pacific and disengage the U.S. economy from China.
They’re both looking to build on their poll numbers going into the caucuses on Monday. Haley and DeSantis have been running even behind the frontrunner, former President Trump.
