WINDHAM, N.H. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is dropping out of the 2024 Republican Presidential race.
Christie made the announcement Wednesday evening at a town hall in New Hampshire . He had always said he would suspend his campaign if he didn’t see a clear path to restore hope and optimism to the nation. Christie has been under pressure to drop out of the race as Trump critics work to unify behind an acceptable Republican candidate to run for President.
Christie caught on an open microphone saying “Haley is going to get smoked, and you and I both know it, she’s not up to this”
The announcement came on the same night as the Republican Presidential debate.
