(Washington, DC) — Former President Donald Trump is expected to appear in two different courtrooms this week over efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his civil fraud case. He’s planning to attend today’s hearing in a Washington, DC federal appeals court where the judges are deciding if he has presidential immunity when it comes to any actions taken regarding the election. Then on Thursday he’ll be in New York City for closing arguments in the fraud case, where New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking more than 370-million dollars from Trump and his co-defendants.

Trump has cited presidential immunity in his bid to have his civil and criminal cases thrown out. The US Constitution makes no mention of presidential immunity, though government officials have been protected from lawsuits.
