Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have focused on disrupting JFK Airport in recent days.

(Queens, NY) – Port Authority Police arrested 26 Pro-Palestinian protesters at JFK Airport on Wednesday afternoon after they blocked traffic. The travel chaos lasted around 20 minutes at the entrance to the airport was blocked at I-678. The group held signs and locked arms. Chants could be heard like “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

This came on the same day that Mayor Adams spoke out against the NYPD’s inability to respond to protests — in connection to a lawsuit brought by Black Lives Matter, which the city settled. As a result, the NYPD agreed to stop using “kettling” in which protesters are kept in place by cops on bicycles, before arrests can be made. Adams says that left the department in a disadvantaged position.
