(New York, NY) — Many hospitals across the tri-state say they have reinstated their mask mandates again, because they are seeing a big uptick in COVID cases, RSV and the flu. All New York City’s Health + Hospitals locations began imposing their mask mandate after the Thanksgiving holiday. Many of the hospitals say they have seen New Yorkers showing up in their emergency rooms testing positive for more than one virus.
COVID hospitalizations are climbing again, but not to numbers the New York City Health Department finds alarming. Doctors across New York say they continue to advise their patients to get COVID boosters and flu shots. They say that is especially true with older patients.
