NYPD Police Officer Assaulted

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – The New York Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying an individual wanted for assaulting an NYPD police officer. The incident occurred within the 115 Precinct on Dec. 8.

The police officer was attempting to stop an unidentified male motorist that was recklessly operating a two-wheeled vehicle southbound on Junction Boulevard towards 37th Avenue.
The suspect refused to stop and struck the officer with the vehicle. The officer suffered from a laceration on his left leg. He then was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital.
The unidentified male motorist fled the scene on the vehicle eastbound on 37th Avenue.
