(New York, NY) — NYPD cops are not sure what led to the deaths of 5-year-old twins Monday morning in the Bronx. Police say the two were home sick from school with their mother, when she says they became unresponsive. They died a short time later. Police say the father of the twins was questioned by police. Their mother was hospitalized from the trauma of their deaths. The NYPD says there were no signs of obvious trauma. The Medical Examiner will try to determine how the twins died.
Neighbors say the family seemed to doing okay, and some say they saw they kids playing outside a recently as last week. The family had no previous visits from either the police of the Division of Family Services.
