Waiting for the river to crest

syndication-courier-post-11

(Paterson, NJ)  — Neighbors in Paterson, New Jersey are watching the Passaic River closely today, as its set to flow over it’s banks after Monday’s storm.  Paterson is under a state of emergency, and schools are closed as homeowners and businesses wait to see what damage is done by the river.

All across the tri-state today people will be cleaning up from the mess left behind by the storm. Branches and whole trees came down in neighborhoods in Queens and out on Long Island. At the height of the storm on Monday 50,000 had no power. Utility crews rewired most of those homes by the end of the day Monday.  First responders say they were busy on Monday rescuing drivers who were stranded on flooded streets.
