NEWARK, N.J. — A bull on the loose in New Jersey made a mess of the Thursday morning commute into New York City.
The drama unfolded when the steer wandered onto train tracks at Newark Penn Station —causing delays up to an hour on trains arriving and departing from New York’s Penn Station. Officials say police eventually cornered the steer in a fenced location about 3 miles away from the train station.
No injuries were reported. The steer will be sent to a local animal sanctuary. It’s not clear where the bull escaped from.
