(Charleston, SC) — A new poll out by the Wall Street Journal puts former South Carolina Republican Governor Nikki Haley 17 points up over President Biden in a hypothetical match-up for the White House. The lead is bigger than the four point lead former President Trump holds over Biden in recent polls. But it may be too late for Haley to surpass Donald Trump’s huge lead in the early primary states.

Donald Trump’s support now tops 50% in Iowa. That according to a new Des Moines Register/NBC News/ Iowa Poll that finds shows 51% of likely Republican caucus goers say they will choose Donald Trump as their first choice for president. Haley is way behind in the poll at just 16%.
