Attempted grand larceny: Have you seen him?

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying the individual depicted in the attached media. He is wanted for an attempted grand larceny.

The unknown male individual is seen attempting to remove a religious statue from a church located on Amsterdam Ave. As soon as the individual noticed security within the building, he dropped the statue and fled location on foot.

The direction in which he went is unknown.

The suspect is described as a 45 to 50 year old male, 5’10” and about 220 pounds. He was seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black sneakers.
