Actor Ryan O’Neal Has Died at Age 82

LOS ANGELES  — Actor Ryan O’Neal has died at the age of 82.  O’Neal was nominated for an Oscar in the 1970  Movie “Love Story.”

The actor appeared in more than 500 episodes of the 1960’s primetime television soap opera “Peyton Place.”

O’Neal also starred opposite daughter Tatum in “Paper Moon.  O’Neal’s son Patrick said on Instagram that his father died Friday, adding that he had been diagnosed with chronic leukemia in 2001, and with prostate cancer in 2012.

O’Neal was married to Joanna Moore and Leigh Taylor-Young, and was romantically  involved with Farrah Fawcett for many years, and remained with her until her death in 2009.  Ryan O’Neal is survived by four children and five grandchildren.
