Police-Accountability NYPD Stops
(New York, NY) — Two NYPD cops found themselves dodging bullets early this morning on an entrance ramp to the Henry Hudson Parkway in Washington Heights. They were called to a crash scene around 2:30 a.m., and when they arrived someone in the car started shooting at them . They fired back , hitting the gunman in the car. He was rushed to the hospital. The officers were not hurt. Video from the scene shows a black car facing the wrong direction on a Henry Hudson Parkway ramp.
A woman in the passenger seat of the car was not hurt in the gunfire. Police believe she is the gunman’s girlfriend. The NYPD does not have a motive for the gunfire. They plan to file charges against the gunman.
