Campus Shooting Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV –Las Vegas Metro Police say at least three people are dead in a shooting on the campus of the University of Nevada- Las Vegas on Wednesday. Police say the shooter is also dead.
LVMP was responding to earlier reports of an active shooter on campus. University police issued an emergency notification at 11:54am to report shots fired in Beam Hall.
Beam Hall is a popular area on campus. It houses the university’s business school and has food service kitchens, laboratories, computer labs, and classrooms.
Lee Business School is in the top 5% of business schools worldwide to hold dual accreditation by the AACSB, ranked first in the most diverse campus in the nation according to the U.S. News and World Report, and third best accounting program in the West.
There have been 77 school shootings in the United States in 2023, according to reports by the Gun Violence Archive. The most recent occurred at Michigan State University that left three students dead and five others wounded.
