Ivanka Trump
(New York, NY) – Former President Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump took the stand today as New York’s civil fraud trial against Trump and his company continues. New York AG Tish James claims Trump and his family overvalued their real estate assets in order to get better terms on loans and insurance policies.
Ivanka didn’t speak to reporters before entering the Lower Manhattan courtroom Wednesday. In court, she testified that she had no role in preparing her father’s financial statements, and wasn’t privy to certain information related to real estate assets and other manners.
Her father, former President Trump, has called the trial an “unfair” proceeding and says it amounts to “election interference”. He testified earlier this week and got into some verbal disagreements with the judge — who will ultimately decide the case, as there is no jury.
