NY: Mayor Adams Calls For Mayoral Accountability In State Budget
(New York, NY) — The FBI is looking into whether the Turkish government funneled cash to Mayor Adam’s campaign in 2021 through a Brooklyn construction company. It’s illegal for lawmakers to raise cash from foreign governments. The FBI raided the lead fundraiser for the Adams campaign on Thursday. Mayor Adams, who was in DC at the time of the FBI raid raced back home. The mayor says he has not been contacted by anyone on the matter. The raid is believed to be connected to a broader public corruption probe.
