(New York, NY) – Break out the umbrellas and rain boots again — the Tri-State is looking at yet another rainy weekend. The droplets started falling on Friday in New York City, leading into what will be the seventh straight rainy weekend for residents of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Saturday is expected to begin rainy, with skies eventually clearing by sometime in the afternoon. As for Sunday, things will start drying out — but it will be breezy and chilly — with real-feel temperatures colder than the expected high of 55 degrees.
The fall season’s poor weather has been a challenge for local businesses, especially those tied into the seasonal economy. For example, activities like apple and pumpkin picking are down 40%, from last year.
