(Rockville, MD) – According to a new study from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, eating red meat could increase your risk of developing type 2 diabetes as you get older. The findings link having red meat in your diet to an advanced risk. One of the study’s authors notes that this increased risk has been observed across different parts of the world’s population.
This particular research looked to dig deeper into how red meat affects diabetes diagnoses. One of the authors has expressed hope that the study can “settle the debate regarding whether we should limit red meat intake for health concerns or not.”
