The most expensive places to park will be Midtown and Lower Manhattan, with the first hour costing $5.50 and the second hour costing $ 9.00. The new meter rates will next roll out in Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Staten Island. Rates will vary by location. The aim is to increase parking spot turnover in high demand parts of the city.
