News: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visits Capitol Hill
(New York, NY) – Dozens of protesters were reportedly arrested outside of US Senator Chuck Schumer’s New York City apartment on Friday night. The group was demanding the US stop sending aid to Israel. This comes amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, and as Senator Schumer plans to fly for Israel — where he’ll meet with PM Bibi Netanyahu.
Reports say Schumer was home at the time and eating dinner with his family. Protests have been springing up across the city ever since Hamas first launched its terror attacks in southern Israel last weekend. Schumer, who has served in the Senate since 1999 and is currently the Senate Majority Leader, has been a staunch supporter of Israel throughout his career. Born in Brooklyn, Senator Schumer and his family are Jewish.
