NEW YORK ,NY- Flood watches and warnings have been posted for the tri state area.
Forecasters say a storm could dump more than three inches of rain over the region, causing flooding on streets, roads and highways.
Flooding in the Subways and on the commuter rail lines is possible.
The MTA says crews will be stationed at flood prone locations on the Long Island Railroad and Metro North lines.
Equipment is also ready to pump water out of flooded subway stations.
