DEA arrest
(Bronx, NY) – According to reports, the husband of the Bronx day care owner where a one-year-old boy died from exposure to fentanyl has been arrested. It seems authorities caught up with him in Sinaloa, Mexico. ABC News says the DEA found him on a bus.
It was two Fridays back when little Nicholas Dominici died after being exposed to fentanyl, while three other children were sickened and had to be hospitalized.
The NYPD says detectives executed a search warrant at Divino Nino Day Care and found narcotics as well as devices used to make pills. The day care has since been closed down but operated out of a converted apartment. Grei Mendez, the day care owner, and her cousin-in-law/tenant Carlos Acevedo Brito have been brought up on drug and murder charges by Bronx prosecutors, as well as federal prosecutors.
