(Trenton, NJ) — More New Jersey school districts are rejecting Governor Phil Murphy’s transgender policies for students. Provided as guidance and not a mandate, Murphy’s office put in place safeguards for students who have changed their gender identity and directed schools to respect those choices. But the school board in Colts Neck voted to scrap the policy while the Howell School Board also voted to reject the policy. A second vote by the Howell school board is needed before the decision is final.
