(New York, NY) — – It appears the MTA is looking at starting congestion pricing in Manhattan in the spring of next year. MTA Chair Janno Lieber says the agency is on track to start tolling drivers who head south of 60th street in May. The exact toll price and who gets discounts and exemptions are expected to be announced next month. The toll could be anywhere from nine to 23 dollars. The money is expected to go toward the MTA to improve mass transit service.
