(New York, NY) — City council members are once again talking about removing statues they claim depict people who took part in crimes against humanity. One of the statues they would like taken down is Christopher Columbus in Columbus Circle. City Councilwoman Sandy Nurse is leading the charge to have the statues removed. A proposed bill would have the city’s Public Design Commission come up with a plan to take down all the statues in question.
