(Chicago, IL) – According to multiple reports, Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Alan Williams has resigned his position. Williams’ home and the Bears’ team facilities at Halas Hall were reportedly raided in connection to an ongoing investigation — but the team later denied any raid had taken place at Halas Hall. On social media, there’s been speculation Williams has been accused of being in possession of child pornography.
Reports say that former Bears’ defensive back Charles “Peanut” Tillman, who’s retired and now working as an FBI agent, broke the news to head coach Matt Eberflus. As he tried to process the situation, Eberflus reportedly became emotional. It’s been a difficult tenure for Eberflus as head coach, as the Bears have lost 12-straight games. That includes this season’s opening two contests, in which QB Justin Fields has also struggled.
As for Williams, NFL insider Adam Schefter says he’s resigned. Per his Wikipedia page, Williams is married and has three children.
