(Merrick, NY) — Nassau County police are trying to figure out who emailed a bomb threat to a Long Island synagogue Sunday, just as they were getting ready to start services for the high holidays. Officers used bomb-sniffing dogs to search Temple Beth Am of Merrick. They eventually gave worshippers the green light to go into the building The rabbi of Temple Beth Am says they will not be intimidated by those who want to do them harm.
