Migrants
(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams is warning every city agency that they will have to make cuts to pay for the migrants who have arrived here over the last year. Police, fire, sanitation and schools are all on the list of agencies that may be asked to make 5 percent cuts come November. Those cuts could continue into 2024 if the city does not receive substantial aid from the White House and New York state. City Councilman David Carr says New York City taxpayers should not be forced to pick up the entire tab for the migrants.
