(Trenton, NJ) — Mayor Eric Adams continues to try and pressure the federal government into expediting migrant working permits. New York City shelters are overburdened with migrants who keep coming and officials say work permits will get them out faster. The White House has reportedly told City Hall that they can move some of the migrants to federally owned land in New Jersey, but Governor Phil Murphy says not so fast. He says the garden state does not have the resources to handle any migrant spillover.
