(Queens, NY) – Charges are pending against a 75-year-old man who took a five-year-old girl to a park in Queens yesterday, sparking a missing person’s report. Reports say the little girl’s mother had given the man permission to take her to a nearby park, but then later lost contact with the pair. It was around 9:00 AM on Tuesday when mom had last seen the girl, at the Foodtown on 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights.

Cops eventually found the girl around 4:30 PM at the 74th Street/Roosevelt Subway Station. Her mom had called police to alert them that her daughter was missing around 1:00 PM. A woman spoke to News 4 NY and said she saw the man and the girl at Travers Park early yesterday morning. The little girl, since identified as Genesis Inamagua, was seen on a cops shoulders and in good spirts — but perhaps a bit dazed. Her grandmother broke down in tears upon hearing Genesis was ok.
