NEW YORK, NY –Mayor Adams is asking Governor Hochul to issue an executive order regarding the city’s ability to house and feed thousands of migrants arriving in the city on a weekly basis. The order is intended to stop local communities from banning migrant housing.
Adam’s says ” I believe the obligation of dealing with the Humanitarian crisis of this proportion, is something we’ve never witnessed before in the history of this city. ”
Nearly 100 thousand migrants have arrived in the city since last Spring.
