(New York, NY) —  Famous Twitch Streamer Kai Cenat broke the silence since his giveaway turned riot at Union Square Park in NYC last week.

He streamed Live on Twitch where he told his fans, “I am beyond…disappointed. Beyond disappointed in anyone who became disruptive that day.”

The NYPD said thousands of people caused chaos in Union Square last week after  Cenat drew a large crowd to the area for a play station 5 video gaming consoles giveaway event.

The influencer was livestreaming his entrance into the park as he was swarmed with fans when the violence started, with some in the crowd throwing objects at police who were caught off guard.

The streamer did not expect such a reaction.

“I want people to know I had good intentions for the whole thing,” Said Cenat, “Not only that, I don’t condone any of the things that went on that day— none of that was cool.”

It’s likely we won’t hear from the streamer for a while as he is do for his first court appearance on August 16, 2023
