NEW YORK, NY – A judge is putting an attempted federal take over of Riker’s Island on hold. The Judge hearing arguments Thursday on a push by federal authorities to take control of Riker’s Island away from the City. The Feds making a strong case for taking over the jail which has been ridden over the years with scandal and dangerous conditions. Another hearing is set for November 28th.
