Hawaii Fires
(Maui, Hawaii) – At least 36 are dead as thousands of tourists are being evacuated from Maui, as multiple wildfires rage out of control. Officials with the state tourism department says people are being directed to the Hawaii Convention Center on O’ahu. Meantime, the Coast Guard was rescuing dozens of people in Lahaina who were trapped by the flames fanned by a hurricane which skirted Hawaii. President Biden has pledged federal assistance to help all those affected in Hawaii.
