(New Brunswick, NJ) — It’s day six of a nurses strike at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey. The 1,700 unionized nurses held a candlelight vigil outside the New Brunswick hospital Tuesday night. The nurses have been without a contract since June 30th. The hospital says it has an offer on the table which they claim satisfies staffing and salary demands. The two sides will meet with a non-binding mediator today.
