NY Battles For Spot in Little League World Series

(New York, NY) —  The Little League World Series may be closer to home than you think.

Two baseball teams from the tri-state area are facing off to be one game closer to the Little League World Series.  Little league teams from East Hanover, New Jersey and Massapequa Coast, New York will have to face off this afternoon after they both won their first Metro Region Tournament games in Bristol, Connecticut.

Whoever loses today’s game will have to play again on Wednesday; both winners from Monday and Wednesday will play in the Metro Region championship on Friday at 7 p.m. for a spot in the World Series in Pennsylvania, which starts August 16th.
