(New York, NY) — City Hall started placing migrants in recreation centers in Brooklyn this past weekend. The Sunset Park Rec Center sits right next to a public pool. Some neighbors are not happy the migrants have been allowed to live so close to where families are swimming. The city says there are cots for up to 100 men to sleep in the gym at the center.  Just after midnight Sunday, migrants were also moved into the McCarren Recreation Center in Williamsburg. Mayor Adams says New Yorkers in almost every neighborhood will soon feel the strain of caring for more than 95,000 migrants who have arrived here from the US-Mexico border.
