New York, NY – The NYPD says thousands of people are causing chaos in Union Square over a celebrity social media influencer. Twitch streamer and New York native Kai Cenat the number one Youtuber has drawn a large crowd to the area for a play station 5 video gaming consoles giveaway event.
Some in the crowd throwing objects at police who were caught off guard.
Cenat was livestreaming his entrance into the park as he was swarmed with fans, who have spilled out into the streets surrounding Union Square.
There have been arrests.
Helmeted police with night sticks called into to help restore order.
