(New York, NY) — A vigil was held Thursday night in the Bronx for an NYPD cop who police say was shot and killed by his own father in a murder-suicide. Officer Alexis Martinez was just 26 years old. More than 1,000 officers were at the vigil. Neighbors say Martinez’s father suffered from mental health issues.
