Queens, NY -More than a dozen passengers sustained injuries -most of them minor, after a Long Island Rail Road train derailed near Jamaica Station in Queens.

The derailment happened near 175th Street and 93rd Avenue around 11am Thursday morning. MTA Chairman Jano Lieber says crews are working to restore damaged track, as well as damaged railroad ties

Investigators have ruled out speed as a factor since the train was operating under the speed limit.  Commuters should expect on going delays.
