cell phone app, apps
(New York, NY) – Facebook parent Meta is taking steps aimed at keeping users of its new Threads app engaged. This comes as more than half of all accounts are inactive – after more than 100 million people signed up in the app’s first few days. The text-based app launched July 5.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg says Meta will be launching “hooks” to keep Threads users on the app for longer. He notes they’re working on a desktop version of Threads as well as the ability to search within the app. Generally speaking, it sounds like Zuckerberg hopes to make it so Threads’ users incorporate the app into their daily routine.
