(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams says New York City is seeing big time success in the war on rats. In the last two months, there’s been a 20% drop in calls to 311 to report rat activity. Some neighborhoods across the city saw a 45% drop in rat sightings. Mayor Adams says the city’s move to reduce the time trash is allowed to sit on curbs is definitely helping. Next up, restaurants and stores that sell food will have to use closed containers, when they put out the trash on the sidewalk for pick up.
