Solar Flare Can Impact World Communications: TODAY

not-real-news

(New York, NY) — The sun seems to be getting busy, with an “x” class solar flare likely to impact Earth later today.

The strongest of category solar flares, “x” flares pose a threat to transmissions worldwide, potentially causing power outages and internet and radio issues. The earth is no stranger to receiving solar flares; the planet has experienced  coronal mass ejections (CMEs) all throughout history. CMEs are rare and science is unfamiliar with the type of solar storm.

Researchers theorize there is a small chance the Sun can some day produce a solar flare so powerful that it may fry our atmosphere and terminate all of life. Nevertheless, Scientists across the globe believe the electronic effects of the super solar storm will be minimal.
