(New York, NY) — Mayor Eric Adams will name Edward Caban as the city’s first ever Latino Police Commissioner today. The ceremony will take place at the Bronx police precinct where Caban began as a cop back in 1991. The 55-year-old, who was raised in the Bronx comes from a family of police officers. He and three of his brothers are members of the NYPD.
