(Massapequa Park, NY) — Prosecutors out on Long Island are searching for links now between the alleged Gilgo beach serial killer and other unsolved murders nearby. That as neighbors describe what it was like to live on the same Massapequa Park block as Rex Heuermann. Investigators searched through a storage facility in Amityville Sunday, apparently as part of their investigation into the 59-year-old Heuermann. He is tied to three murders in part through DNA taken from a pizza he threw out in the trash. Investigators searched through Heuermann’s house over the weekend, reportedly looking for “trophies” like hair and jewelry. Some neighbors say they were creeped out by Heuermann, and told their kids to steer clear of his house when they walked down the block
