(Paramus, NJ) – Cops are on the hunt for a group of people who organized a prank at several North Jersey shopping malls, leading to a flood of 911 calls on Monday. Panicked shoppers called emergency responders after seeing a Tesla with New York plates driving around parking lots in Paramus shopping centers. The stunt involved setting up a infant carrier on the roof of the car, with a baby doll on the inside. But people nearby didn’t know it was a doll.
This happened at Garden State Plaza, Paramus Park, and Bergen Town Center. Cops believe the group were looking to film shocked reactions from bystanders, in order to upload it to social media and hopefully go viral.
