Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen
(Washington, DC) – US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen plans to visit China this week, where she will meet with a number of senior officials to discuss economic issues. The Treasury Department announced the trip on Sunday.
This continues recent efforts aimed at improving relations between the two biggest economies in the world. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Chinese President Xi Jinping last month, potentially setting up a summit with President Biden.
