(New York, NY) — Swarms of insects have been seen in both Brooklyn and Manhattan over the last 48 hours. They appear to be green gnats that are traveling in large numbers. New Yorkers who have run into the critters say it’s been intense. Parks officials say the bugs seem to be harmless. Everyone is surprised to see them in the city in such large numbers.
