(New York, NY) – A New York City shoplifter knifed a security guard at an Upper East Side CVS on Monday night. Authorities say the thief was stuffing cans of shaving cream and razors into his bag when a CVS security guard tried to stop him. The man allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed the guard under his left eye. This happened at 86th Street and 2nd Avenue.
The shoplifter reportedly left with over $400 worth of goods. The security guard was taken to the hospital and was reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.
