Capsize Boat Rescue
(New York, NY) – One person is dead and nearly a dozen are being treated at the hospital, after a tour boat capsized in Lockport, New York. This is about 30 miles north of Buffalo. Fire officials say 29 people were on a flat-bottomed boat that became unbalanced. It overturned in Lockport Cave.
Sixteen people were rescued from the capsized vessel, while others got to safety on their own. All of the people onboard were locals.
